City of Columbus - Water, Sewer, and Power

Me and my wife are the second night in a new house were renting. They come by while were gone, say they couldnt see our meter, and then shut off our water. Found out around 2pm. Landlord called and showed them the meter, and they said it was too late to get anyone to turn the water back on. So now sitting here with absolutely no water because they couldnt look at a meter. What kind of people are these? Ive never seen such consistent complaints and nothing gets done. Truly and embarrassing company.

Our area had a water main break on a Sunday and I couldnt reach anyone at the division of water for information. This is very poor service.

Notify when work is being done on the road. If there is a sign way down the street people not near it may not know what is going on. Several times now they dont tell us. They also have large windows of time for people to stop by and check something in your house but no way of telling you when they are on their way. We will be there sometime between 9am and 5pm but also if we miss you we will shut your water off and you will have to wait 24 hours to get it back. So if you fell asleep, have a meeting or need to run an errand and miss them you are screwed. A simple solution would be to have them give you a text or a call when they are on their way but they said our workers arent comfortable calling customers its 2024 and you cant just say hey we are on our way to your home please be there. Im not asking for us to talk about our day just want to know so Im not down in the basement switching out laundry and miss you nocking. I had covid and a bunch of stuff going on so I admittedly missed it on accident. However getting my water shut off that fast seemed extreme. The issue wasnt even coming from my house and it wasnt any danger. I just happened to be the one to report a leak on the road.
