Rumpke - East Area Office

Please use anyone else if you can. Horribly customer service, decided to change service with 0 notification so recycling was not picked up weekly as I agreed to when I signed up for service. Also go to your city and demand more suppliers so there is no more monopoly. If you have another option, use it, and let us know how we can support that company so eventually we can get away from this horrible company.

Picked up my trash last week 12/11/2023, I had two trash containers to be picked up, but this week 11/18/2023 they picked up the one container with Rumkes emblem on it but not the other container. Not very happy with this trash company. I will talk to Outville , Harison twp. about this problem. You people need to talk to your drivers!

Usually reliable about picking up but they can be hard on your trash cans. Found this broken lid after their pick-up today. I have one metal can that I NEVER put at the curb any more, its all bent and dented up now.

Rumpke won a government aggregate bid in my area, which I usually opt out. This time, my old can was gone before I had a chance. Anyhow, first week of collection I didn't have a can so I called and spoke with a nice lady that told me they could deliver it before my next collection. Fast forward a week, still no can, so I call back. I was guaranteed that it would arrive today...Still no can...I asked for a pro-rated bill since they have missed two weeks and it was hard to get a commitment on that. I was instructed by the Rumpke representative to just leave my trash bags by the road. Not doing that because I doubt they will clean up the mess when all the local wildlife think they found treats. The representative today told me it takes two weeks to order a can, which should not apply to me since they WON A BID TO SERVICE THE TOWNSHIP. You would think they would know how many cans they need. Seems like you get what you pay for, cheap price = broken promises. Probably end up going back to Waste Management even if they are more expensive, at least they do what they say they are going to do.

I restored our service with a lock dumpster. Rumpke gave me a dumpster and they didn't put it inside the enclosure. People started filling it up with trash because it can't be locked. The inspector wouldn't pass our restaurant because of that. We haven't opened until now because they haven't changed the dumpster and it's almost a week since I've been waiting. They don't know what's going on. The only thing preventing us from opening our restaurant is that dumpster. We are losing money and Rumpke has no sense of urgency. I've been calling and asking for help but nothing. For the first few days I was calm but after 4 days of no resolution I became frustrated and their custoner service and sales rep are getting frustrated with me as well. Whose fault is it in the first place? They keep asking me to talk to my sales rep which is Amy but I've been telling her that this is important and urgent. I explained everything to her but until now I'm still waiting for them to take out my trash and changed my dumpster. I've been waiting for almost a week.
