Village Tavern

This place is ridiculous level amazing. My wife and I went for dinner one night while traveling for my job and had an absolutely amazing experience. The food was fantastic, the cocktails were fantastic, the wine list was fantastic. It was so good, we had to stop on the way home and have lunch. It was equally as amazing. I am in Birmingham at least once a quarter, and Ill be making multiple stops here each trip going forward.

Decided to try for lunch based on google reviews. We were not disappointed. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was great! We had the onion dip appetizer, pimento BLT, steak tacos & peanut butter chocolate pie. Everything was delicious and presented nicely. Highly recommend!

I have been a patron to the Village Tavern for sometime now, and have always enjoyed my experience even when it wasnt at its best. My experience yesterday was disappointing, to say the least. Now I am not talking about my server and the food. My server was pleasant and the food was good. What I am talking about was when I was getting ready to leave and I needed to stop by the restroom. As I was entering the hallway to go to the restroom, I almost got run down by a expeditor or manager holding a tray of food. They were not very happy with me being in the hallway, shouting, I am coming through with hot food, Hello! Now I get it, its a shared space. Its not very convenient for those who need to get food to the tables nor for those who need to use the restroom. However, there is no reason for being rude, especially to your customers. Just take a moment, slow down , let the customer or who ever pass and get out of the way before you enter with a tray of hot food. You might one day cause an accident with a small child or elderly person trying to get to the restroom and doesnt realize that someone could be barreling out with a heavy tray of hot food. Thank you!
