The staff did an amazing job at taking care of my dog who was viciously attacked my another dog. They were prompt in taking action and the necessary steps to ensure she was properly taken care of and examined her throughly. The front staff was also great and very patient and caring as well as mindful of all the feelings one has when dealing with such a horrible situation. I would definitely recommend this pet hospital and come back.

VSH is above and beyond amazing! Our vet at Amici in Little Italy had our baby girl, Princess Zelda, our 7 1/2 year old American Akita immediately transferred to VSH during a follow up appointment. We rushed her up there on a random Tuesday in December the week before Christmas. It was extremely busy day but due to Zelda's needs we were prioritized. We waited on the bench seating and had doctors and nurses checking in and just stopping to pet the baby bear sprawled out on the floor. We were moved to a room and settled in to wait for a doctor. A lovely nurse came in to speak with us about Zelda's symptoms and check her out a little before the doctor came in. She was so gentle with Zelda and was choked up at her being unable to stand up walk. Not too long after the nurse left a doctor came in to talk about next steps which required us to leave her overnight for the staff to hydrate her and evaluate her. It was so hard watching them take her away and leaving her for the evening. First thing the next morning we got a call from VSH after evaluating our baby girl they knew instead of putting her through a bunch of diagnostics that they needed to get her into surgery. During the early morning she developed full paralysis and they didn't want to wait. My boyfriend went up to see her before they took her into surgery and to get the details for what was about to happen. Oh yeah and to find out about the cost. We had 30 minutes to come up $12,000 dollars for the surgery. Yes, you read that correctly. We did. We got the money together. Zelda went into surgery and she came out of surgery and was excited to see us and to go home. The afternoon of 22 December 2022 we picked up our baby girl who couldn't walk yet and was limited in what she was allowed to do for several weeks. It was so hard to watch her in this position but her surgical team and the hospital staff were amazing and words cannot express how grateful we are for everything they did for our beautiful baby girl. Zelda is 15 months post surgery and has been doing great. Even her surgeon was flabbergasted by her improvement and her resilience. I cannot recommend VSH enough! Their care and service is incomparable. Thank you for caring so much for our Princess Zelda.

They literally saved my pup's life (baby in the photo). She needed open heart surgery and I can't thank everyone enough for that. I go here for all my specialty needs and emergencies when needed. The staff is wonderful-both extremely professional and friendly to both you and especially the little ones. Again, can't recommend this place enough.

I have been here before for another animal, and they took amazing care of her every time we came in. Everyone was so nice and cared so much about how our cat was doing. However, this visit on 3/28/24 was terrible. The nurse who took the information was incredibly rude and dismissive for both encounters we had with her. The vet that came and talked to us maintained a smiley demeanor, but was dismissive as well, and neither her nor the nurse paid attention to our major concerns and kept trying to put focus on the cats breathing, when that wasnt even a concern in the first place, it was just something I mentioned to add more detail. The discharge paperwork we were given didnt even mention what we were there for in the first place. So I ended up wasting over $500 and getting ignored and dismissed by a nurse and vet who were extremely unprofessional and, not having my major concerns for my animal actually addressed.

My dog was seen by Dr. Nowak in the emergency department . Dr. Nowak was kind , compassionate and straight forward. Her forward thinking actually helped me save money and prevent unnecessary treatment that would yield subpar or inconclusive results. This provider didn't guilt me based on my treatment choice at the time. Not only was she helpful during our visit she actually took the time to address some questions I had a week later regarding exploring additional treatment options. Her honesty, kindness and genuine care did not go unnoticed. I would definitely recommend this Veterinary hospital for emergency care.
