Clean room and very nice airy-feeling breakfast area. Common areas seemed perfectly clean and overall would definitely be willing to return. Comparing among Hilton properties in the area, I prefer this Hampton over the shabby old Double Tree that is also nearby. The Hampton is newer and has been refreshed, plus they toss in a decent complimentary breakfast. Location very convenient to the airport, and there is nearby public transit that goes if you need it The nearby Route 60 bus is frequent and is free when coming from the airport, or $2.50 to go back, and might be easier than trying to deal with the hotel-contracted shuttle service if you are able to walk more than 25 yards away.
The only flaw with the room is the awful bathroom sink design. I can only imagine that the plumbers that installed that faucet are the sorts that don't wash their hands after using the toilet, because you can't use the sink without it shooting water all over the counter. Hopefully they can remodel and fix that.
The only other flaw is the typical congregation of smokers sucking desperately on their burned leaves outside all the entrances at all hours. No doubt these are the people leaving 2 star reviews.
Rooms: Perfectly adequate, typical Hampton decor. Beware of flawed bathroom sink, but otherwise a nice room.
Safety: Area around the hotel is completely safe, mostly just office parks.
Walkability: Nearby VTA light rail or bus stops nearby would be key for getting to good food if you are on foot.
