Glad you didnt cut yourself because of your complete lack of simple saw guard knowledge and sorry to have interrupted your very important personal conversation with your coworker.

I am regular customer of your store. Most of the time I shop at your 3870 Quebec St. Denverstore.
Upon yesterday afternoon, 03/28/2024 I shopped at your store, purchasing some wood and some wood screws to bolster a bookshelf I have athome.
I went to the lumber section. In that aisle, there was a big cart that had various pieces of scrap wood. Posted on the cart was a sign that stated the "wood only on this cart is 70% off."
I found a piece of ply wood. It did not have a price sticker on it. Nor did it have blue spray paint on it like other pieces of wood on the cart had.
I Measured it and had it cut. The young man that cut the wood for me told me the piece I had chosen didn't cost anything, because it was scrap.
I went to the check out line. A white gentleman, around late 50s to mid 60's was about to check me out. I begin to tell him where I got the piece of wood from. He did not let me complete my sentence and told me the sign was in the wrong place, and the wood is sold by the foot.
Every time I tried to speak, the man interrupted and insisted on repeating what he said. I requested of him to let me finish expressing myself.
He still did not let me completely finish what I was saying before stating what he said at the beginning, in a very cold tone.
I turned and took my shopping cart with my wood, walked down the main area, looking for a manager in the check out area.
I found a manager at one of the registers. I informed her of my encounter with the employee. She told me that if the young man who assisted me stated the piece was free, he was correct in telling me so. Also she stated the wood that had blue spray paint markings were the 70% off pieces.
Unless the first check out individual treats all customers the way he treated me, I'm tending to think it was a racial issue. I have no way of proving it, but I do know it was very rude and incorrect. It does cause me pause as to whether I will continue shopping atHomeDepot. And will inform other's in my ethnicity of my experience.

Micheal Starks Store Manager lies to customers and employees. Please go to another store ..You will be happier with your purchase of your materials...Emily Long- Marquez is one of the Sloppiest Kitchen Designers with poor follow thru.. Emily fibs to customers in order to get a large sale..Buyer Beware.. Her husband Donato works there and this is why she able to lie to customers..Erika Venezuela not to mention the entire design team such as Charlie will make sure your flooring order and window order will not get processed in a timely manner .. Let's not forget Shawna and Margaret who refuse to contact customers regarding their refunds that are owed to them like several hundreds dollars..Stay Away from their Kitchen Design Center and Appliances that get delivered damaged or not at all
