Hilton Garden Inn Rockford

Great hotel with clean sheets and towels. Looks newer out front than the rooms, though. Only thing would be the daily buffet wasn't really fresh. But you can order off the menu, which we'd recommend.

While my stay at the hotel was largely enjoyable, it's worth noting that a serious incident occurred nearby during my visit. Just a few blocks away, there were reports of stabbings, a deeply unsettling event. Remarkably, the hotel's robust structure meant that the commotion outside, including the sounds of sirens, did not permeate its walls. This provided a much-appreciated sense of tranquility and safety within the hotel, despite the turmoil in the vicinity. Recommended staying in the hotel at night!

Overpriced, I've stayed at lower star hotels with better prices and better rooms.

Hotel is very over priced. They say there is free WiFi but its not free unless you sign up for a Hilton VIP thing. Then the WiFi is laggy. The guy at reception is nice and helpful so is the older woman. The outlets work when they want to and the tv kept shutting on and off. No blow dryers and you have to pay for breakfast after all the money they charge to stay here. They do have good shampoo and conditioners and they provide lotion as well. The best part is the pool and the bar. Too bad they dont stay open late.
