THESE ARE NOT LUXURY APARTMENTS.
We havent had a maintenance man in the 3 years Ive lived here. The floors dont get mopped but instead the lady just gets the mop wet then smear the filth all over, never dipping the mop back in the bucket. The floors that are never swept anyway. 3 property managers and 2 management companies in 3 years, and all anybody does is increase rent, lock the doors to the outside area (for MONTHS), and take away our complimentary WiFi. Security is not here more often than they are, even during their on hours. They sit around on their phones and really serve no actual purpose. Just collecting a paycheck! They also disappear in the evenings and theyre gone for CHUNKS of time. Not just a break. The main entrance is locked which means Amazon cant even access the building to deliver (someone at the front desk has to let them in). When they can, they often dump them all on the floor in the mail area and then people open up and go through everybodys packages, taking what they like. Despite cameras, nobody is held accountable. Speaking of, Ive asked on more than one occasion for cameras to be reviewed (someone tried to enter my apartment) and nothing. The parking garage is terrifying (theres a basement level). The lobby is cute (and boasts a complimentary cafe station that is somehow never refilled or working properly) and they are careful to only show what they want potential rent payers to see but I encourage folks to do more digging on this place. There is more to it than that. The building owners are (seemingly) absent, neglectful, impossible to reach, and uninterested in anything that really goes on around here other than collecting rent.

Let me start off by this was one of the worst apartments Ive ever lived in. Ill explain everything what occurred one month of living in the 501. August: I moved in on the 4th of August and everything seemed fine at first because the leasing staff was great at marketing the apartment to make it seemed like it was a safe and luxury apartment which is false. Theres no 24/7 security and anybody can walk into the building. The apartment is located in West Baltimore which is NOT safe! Theres always robberies, shootings, and crime happening especially the drug dealers standing all over the apartment offering drugs for sale which makes it unsafe and the nearby gas stations I dont recommend going too because its not safe anyone can get robbed or killed. The 501 is a WAR ZONE. Someone recently got shot in broad daylight. Im breaking my lease immediately its really not a safe place to live. Theres rodents and mice. Also, majority of the amenities dont work and Wi-Fi is never working so dont be fooled. The garage isnt safe either because anyone can climb through the back gate and enter the garage plus the area is very noisy when the nightclub is open at night thats when all the crime happens but crime happens here every night. Whenever you complain to the leasing or staff they have attitudes and they lost my rent money too! Im so sick of the disorganization and being unhappy Im moving out of my apartment immediately and dont recommend anyone moving into the 501z dont be deceived by the leasing staff because one you sign that lease nobody cares about you. I only felt safe at first because a lot of students live in the building but move somewhere else its not worth it everything in my studio is breaking constantly and maintenance never comes at all! The ceilings are always leaking in every hall way and the laundry machines are broken and old. Theyll tell you to download the flex app but whenever the app has problems the leasing staff never take responsibility. Its not a safe building please DO NOT MOVE HERE! ITS A WAR ZONE!
