I have gone to Schaefer Autobody three times and I have had an overall great experience every time. The service writer Reggie helped me all three times and he gave very good customer service. He was very attentive to the service of my vehicles. He noticed that I had a paint blemish on one of the areas of my vehicle that was worked on and made sure that was addressed properly. I was satisfied with the work on my vehicles. I'd recommend Schaefer Autobody to anyone looking to have autobody work done.

Horrible experience! Where do I start? When I brought my car for estimate, I explained to the salesman explicitly about the hailstorm we drove through and that there was a large thud at one point, which we recognized as a larger-than-typical hailstone, and that the car was littered with chipped paint spots on the roof and hood, as well as the dings and the one much bigger ding. Nevermind that I had to wait 2 months for an appointment, but when I did drop off my car, it sat "in line" for 3 days. When they finally did get to it, I was questioned AGAIN about the large ding and was told they felt the chips in the paint were from road wear (ie, "we think you're lying about the chips in the paint, ma'am"). AGAIN, I told the rep my hailstorm story. Several days later, I was asked AGAIN about the large ding and chipped paint. (Have you ever experienced a hailstorm in Oklahoma? Yes, tennis-ball sized hail mixed in with walnut-sized hail will cause a variety of damage, including chips in the paint and large dents.) They kept telling me my insurance company was denying it, but my insurance company assured me they would pay for it if their estimator would remove the "prior damage" (or whatever they wrote) part on his estimate. My insurer finally advised me to just pick it up when the hail dings were gone and take it elsewhere for the paint repair. I thought my experience couldn't get worse until upon pickup, the hood of my car had swirls of scratches all over the hood and buffing compound residue splotches. The manager came out and frankly did and said nothing. She let the same rep I had been working with the whole time do the talking. He offered to keep the car and have it rebuffed, but I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The rest of the claim will be handled elsewhere! If you want to be made to feel like a liar and that you should be grateful for whatever work was done, AND have your car look like your five year old rubbed sand on it, please go to Schaefer.
