I purchased fairly expensive carpet for my upstairs in my house. The installer came and spent most of the time smoking outside while his son worked on installing the carpet. Approximately one week after they finished, humps, rolls started to develop in all of the rooms and hallway. We called Carpet Direct and reported the issue so they sent their "senior installer" out to fix the carpet. He removed and entire trash bag full of excess carpet from the first installer not stretching the carpet. Shortly after this the hills and humps started to show again. We called Carpet direct again to report the problem and the said it wasn't their problem that it was between us and the installer. After arguing with them for several weeks to months, they sent out a third installer that looked at the carpet and called them stating it was one of the worst installs he has ever seen and it would take an entire day to fix. Carpet Direct said they would not pay him for that so he left after fixing one room. We then hired the third installer and paid him to return and fix the rest of the upstairs carpet for he was very good! We are now having to take them to court to recoup our money we were out paying the third installer. Learn from our mistake! I posted a picture of the hallway after two installers but prior to the third actually fixing the issue.

Just had 2 floors of carpet put in with better pad at way less cost then home depo without labor for same product.
