Dollar Car Rental - Springfield - Branson National Airport

Poor service, lack of communication. They have an interesting way of running their business. Was charged a $150 gas fee even though vehicle was filled up before return. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere next time.

I rented a car from Dollar at the Cleveland Ohio Airport. I booked through Expedia. I paid for insurance through Expedia. When I picked up my car i was asked to chose between two insurance plans. I thought it was in reference to what i already purchased. I was wrong. Dollar also charged me an additional $130 for insurance. I was told the amount placed on my card would be refunded once I returned the car. When I returned the car the $130 was not removed. I called customer service about the charge. They told me they did not have the ability to remove the charge. I asked to speak with someone that could remove the charge and was told there was Noone I could talk to. I was provided with a number to the pickup location that was only an automated message. No live person. I emailed customer service and again was told nothing can be done and no options to file a grievance or complaint. So I am stuck with paying a double charge for the same service. Dollar, Thrifty and Hertz are all one corporation and I will never do business with any of them again.

Two things are possible, either this establishment is really unorganized, or they enjoy scamming people with hidden fees. Hoping they'll work on improving their business someday. Until then, would not recommend.

The car was what we requested even though it wasn't picked up until 10:30 pm. It was clean and ready to go.
