We had a great experience with this Avis at the airport! The staff was friendly, they welcomed us to the area and gave suggestions of places to see. They thoroughly explained the process since we were doing a one way rental and helped us select the best vehicle and value. They even were so kind to offer our daughter a popsicle they had some extra of. We appreciate the true hospitality demonstrated by the team here! I hate I didnt catch all the names to call out but it was the crew working 4/3/24 in the afternoon!

Reserved a vehicle then got to the desk and they turned me away because they have hidden deposit fees that make a 100 dollar rental 500 bucks

Location will not honor the booking you have. I rented a full sized car from Springfield to St. Louis. When I got there I was forced into a "tesla", which I found out was a Hyundai IONIC that didn't have the range to get me to St. Louis and apparently "Tesla" was what the rental car agent used for ANY EV. After walking by hundreds of regular cars in the AVIS lot to get to the EV then walking back to say it wouldn't work I was told becasue I was a one way rental I was only permitted to take the EV or a Jeep Gladiator. I did NOT want a truck. We needed trunk space for luggage. What I rented did NOT matter. They wasted so much of my time that we were almost late for my daughter's college appointment and they refused to rent anything but the Jeep Gladiator to me. They would never show me where that supposed "rule" was that allowed them to refuse to rent me what I reserved.
