Dr. Thompson is awesome. She is also very compassionate. She listened to my questions and explained everything to me. It was great to feel like a human being- not just a patient being shuffled from to be station to the next.

Everyone was wonderful answered all my questions to reduce my stress. Dr. Baker was very thorough relieved my fears and didn't treat me like a crazy old man. I liked my previous eye doctors, and she was better.

I saw Kevin Sitko. He seems like a great doctor. However after discovering how they process billing to your insurance company Ill never step foot in this place again. My $50 copay has turned into $200. Why? Because they dont submit the appropriate billing codes to your insurance. Ive been arguing with UNM billing - they wont help. I called the secretaries twice. seeing that my eye condition is triggered by stress, this doesnt feel like a caring environment. Ive called a third time only asking him to call me back. Heres hoping. A few years have passed. This doctors office never called me back. I think this is not a reliable space

This is a newly remodeled clinic. It is very nice. I've been coming here for several years. The staff are all very friendly and profession.

UNM Eye Clinic can have a scheduled patient wait over an hour and half before seeing the doctor. This causes anxiety and discord with the patient. UNM has an agreement with VA to see Disabled Veterans and is given a VA Authorization Number with first appointment. However, UNM does not know what they are doing when filing for VA PAYMENT. UNM attempts to collect from the Veteran by calling the VA an insurance company and sending the Veteran a bill. THE VA IS A DISABILITY PLAN/ NOT INSURANCE. Terrible and noncaring eye clinic for US Veterans. Veteran patient has to look up authorizations and verbally give to UNM collections AGAIN when on their clinical records. UNM EYE CLINIC IT SEEMS CARES MORE ABOUT THE REMOLDING OF THEIR BUILDING AND THE APPEARANCE OF THEIR WORKERS (ALL ATTIRED WITH THE SAME HAIR CUTS/UNIFORMS, ETC). Will never return to UNM Eye Clinic, God Willing. We have requested different VA Eye Care where they CARE about the Patients medical eye condition..
