Virgin Hotels New York City

I decided to stay at the Virgin Hotel NYC for my birthday trip and it definitely lived up to the expectations I had for it and the review I had read. Upon arriving, a nice gentleman checked us in and my husband informed him it was our first time staying there and that it was my birthday. He was able to help upgrade us to a suite that had some amazing views of the city and Empire State Building and provided us a $100 credit to use in their restaurant or for room service. Our room was so clean, nice a and new and had beautiful views of the city along with floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom and living room area. The bed was very comfy and I loved the extra touch of the vanity area in the bathroom. The shower was very big and had two shower heads which was really nice. I also enjoyed having the living room area to sit in and soak in the views of the city. All the rooms are soundproofed so it was very peaceful and quiet the entire time we were there. We visited the on site bar and restaurant and the food and drinks were very good. All in all I loved my stay and will be back! Safety: This area is very safe and the hotel is also safe as you have to have key card access to even access a hotel floor. They also have security by the elevators. Walkability: There are so many places nearby that you can walk to from this location. It's in a great location with many shops, bars, etc nearby.

I booked a room yesterday through amex, (I've stayed here before), and had my amex email confirmation, but, when I checked in the agent at the desk said that it does not show that I have booked through amex in their system even though I showed him the email. I ended up leaving because I was so uncomfortable. I've been here before, and I have a spa membership. I've updated my review because I had a good experience at the Spa this weekend. I hope it gets better with customer service.

Hi I have stayed at this hotel many times since they opened and just organized a group gathering of meditators from my company The Path to meet and brunch and meditate at the 2nd floor restaurant Everdene. The managers and servers and helpers and everyone at every level were so kind and so accommodating and the food was amazing and it restored my sense of humanity and kindness in the world and nyc they were so great!!! I will come back again and again and am almost in tears with how AWESOME everyone here is at every level - a huge thank you and come here early & often and truly everything on the menu is great! Food & drinks: Yum!

My experience there was very pleasant and satisfied with everything. As you walk in the check in area is to the left, with 3 receptionists, and from the start the interaction was cordial and friendly. I was given a letter as an Amex Concierge detailing at the benefits and we were given our room key and set to go. Went to the elevator section and while I'm pretty tech savvy, being my first time there I would have liked maybe a quick "hey this is how you navigate to your floor," as I didn't notice the pad and went straight into an elevator that had just opened. Moving past that we finally arrived at our floor and entered our first room. Upon doing so everything was well kept except for a few minor issues that I not need mention as Jestin (Experience Manager) and his team were of the upmost understanding because when I brought it to their attention there was no defensive stand nor attitude, just a quick "we will take care of this," type deal and all was well. Without making this a huge essay of a review, I would recommend going there as the food and service was very good and we were content with our stay there! Plan on going again and hope to have another satisfying time.
