We recently bought our first house and decided to meet with Mary Cates after reading so many stellar reviews about her from first-time homebuyers. We went into our first meeting with little research or knowledge on the home buying process and she did not disappoint! Our expectations were that this would be a long, complicated, stressful process and Mary helped us accomplish the exact opposite. From the beginning, she did a very beginner-focused, yet thorough explanation of the process and then answered all of our questions, and boy did we have a lot. She is excellent at gauging comprehension and could tell when we were still confused about something. She would then explain it in a different way to help us understand, which we really appreciated since were both a little on the reserved side and sometimes arent the most vocal about our thoughts. The house-hunting process was very easy with the custom search Mary set up specifically tailored to us; all we had to do was look at the houses that fit the search and let her know which ones we wanted to tour. She then very promptly set up tours for every house we wanted to see within a week, working around our extremely inconsistent work schedules. During each tour, she would look for indications of any kind of issues with all the houses that we would have never thought to look for. She was always very transparent and honest, taking what we had told her about what we wanted in a home to help us decide if one would be a viable option or not. When we toured the house we ended up buying for the first time, it was love at first sight for my husband. I wasnt so sure because of the size of the backyard even though everything else was perfect, so we told Mary that it was definitely an option but we would talk about it. She called us a little later to let us know there was an open house scheduled the next day, which could have led to a flood of buyers and potentially a bidding war. She went above and beyond to schedule another viewing that same day and even arranged for us to take our dog so we could see how he liked the smaller backyard. When we told her we wanted to put together an offer, she immediately got in contact with the sellers agent and they agreed to cancel the open house since we were going to put in an offer. Just one of many examples of how dedicated she was to helping us find the perfect home for us! We were super nervous about putting in an offer since we had only been house-hunting for a week, but Mary answered all our questions (and helped with the stress and anxiety!) and helped us put together an offer that we felt good about and she thought was a strong offer. We went under contract the next morning! During the entire process of being under contract, Mary was a huge advocate for us and was always very transparent with us about what was going on. There were a few hiccups along the way, and she would always tell us to not stress, that she would do the stressing and work for us. Her constant level-headed and calming attitude definitely helped with my stress and anxiety! We really appreciate how easy Mary and her team at the Ginther Group made this process for us, closing only a little over a month after we met with her for the first time. She is very on top of communication and planning without being pushy like weve heard a lot of agents can be. She excels at explaining confusing processes in a way that newcomers to real estate can understand, and is just so friendly! We wholeheartedly recommend her as a buyers agent (especially for first-time buyers!) and are so grateful that she helped us find an amazing home that we are enjoying turning into our own.

My experience working with Mary was fantastic. As a first time home buyer, I was very nervous and unfamiliar with the home buying process. Mary was very patient with me and educated me about the home buying process. Although I wasnt ready to buy at the time, Mary stayed connected and always checked in on me. We set goals and worked towards reaching them. Im so happy I had Mary as my realtor. Everything went so smoothly! What I loved most is that she doesnt miss a beat. Shes very knowledgeable, responsive, smart, and professional. Also very kind!!! I appreciate her working over time to help me close on my home !!!

Outstanding experience! Mary Cates is amazing! Since our very first meeting she has been thorough, fully transparent, and sincere and this continued throughout the entire process which made me feel in good hands. Going in as a first time homebuyer Marys knowledge and experience is extremely prevalent. She has exceptional market knowledge and a personalized approach to meeting your needs. Above all she truly had my best interest in mind.
