We had a lovely night here. We came to celebrate our anniversary and see the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. It is such a cute place. We actually walked to dinner around the corner to The Harp. After dinner it was still.light enough so we walked down the street that the Stone Gables is on. They are under construction, however, you could see the beautiful old homes being brought back to their beauty. I would highly recommend the Stone Gables, however, you do have to be able to do stairs.

My wife and I stayed here two nights. The entire facility is clean and well-maintained. Our room (The Franklin) is a suite. It has a bedroom with a king-size bed, a large wardrobe, a side table, and a night table with a lamp. The bed was very comfortable. The other room is a sitting room that has a queen-size bed, a futon, a nice antique chair, and a side table with a TV. The bathroom is small, but it has a large walk-in shower. The hot water takes a minute to get up to the third floor, but it is a nice shower once it is up to temperature. Outside the suite, on the landing, is a refrigerator/freezer that serves the two rooms on that level. The furniture is all antique and lends a late 19th century, guilded-era ambiance to the entire Inn. There are numerous areas to sit and read. The main-floor living room is particularly impressive. We enjoyed the 10 ft. ceilings of our suite! Be aware that if you end up staying on the third floor (where our room was located) you will have to climb 50 steps. That includes the steps from the Inn's parking lot to the entrance. No elevator! Communication from the hosts was timely and detailed. The neighborhood is very quiet. If you want to walk to the great restaurants, breweries, and West Side Market of downtown Ohio City, it's a pleasant stroll of only 0.75 mile. You can do it easily in 15 minutes. We highly recommend The Stone Gables Inn. Nearby activities: zoo (3.75 miles), aquarium (1 mile) Walkability: Downtown Ohio City is within easy walking distance (0.6 mile) . Downtown Cleveland is a bit farther (1.5 miles) , but it is easily walkable. Food & drinks: Within walking distance in downtown Ohio City there are lots of breweries, an eclectic assortment of restaurants (French, Thai, Lebanese, Mexican, American, Cambodian), numerous coffee shops, and the incomparable West Side Market.
