I recently moved in and love the complex. They have a great pool and a gym. The location is great, close to many stores and restaurants. The staff is very helpful and responds quickly, especially Angie. She is professional and efficient.

My husband and I moved into Northwoods shortly after we got married in 2022 and lived there for about a year and a half. When we first moved in it was great! The apartment seemed nice, we met some of the other people that lived near us, everyone seemed great. Then once summer started to kick in, we noticed that our AC was broken. We put in a work order for it and did not hear back for weeks. My husband called the front desk to ask what the hold up was and they proceeded to tell us that there were a lot of other people whos AC was broken too, and that the pool was open!. Awesome lol. We slept at my husbands parents house multiple times to just get some AC since our apartment was 90 degrees all the time. We finally got our AC fixed after about 2 or 3 months (and we were paying full rent the whole time!) Most of our neighbors were very nice and very awesome people, but there were a few in our building that were less than desirable. Right when you opened the door to our building 90% of the time, a wave (and I mean a WAVE) of weed just hit you right in the face. It was truly truly embarrassing to have anyone over to our home. I am pretty sure some of our neighbors literally smoked weed at all hours of the day. It started to get into our apartment ventilation and our apartment would smell like weed almost constantly. My husband sent an email to the property manager, and we did not hear back about it. Everyone got a mass email 2 MONTHS later kindly reminding everyone about the smoking policy (which isnt going to do anything). Our neighbors informed us that they had also been sending multiple emails to the office about the weed in their apartment too. It was in our contract that we signed so it should be enforced. I know that other tenants have this issue as well. Our apartment itself was fine. The layout definitely did not maximize the space, and the kitchen was TINY. I also feel like Northwoods was starting to cheap out on things that they dont want to fix (they took out the garbage disposal and the washers and dryers which they used to have in all the units). Also, after I personally turned in our keys to a Northwoods employee after we moved out, they called my husband a couple days later asking if we turned in our keys because they couldnt find them. the incompetence is unreal. Moral of the story, this complex is definitely going downhill which is sad. We couldnt even see out the rest of our 2nd year lease. It is a mid-tier apartment complex at best, and if they dont start addressing some of the things that are starting to become an issue, all of the good tenants are going to leave (like us and soon to be our former neighbors) and it is just going to be filled with ghetto people who cause problems. If you make even a somewhat decent amount of money, do yourself a favor and bump it up a notch to a nicer apartment. The way that our new complex is run is like night and day when it comes to management and the neighbors are much more desirable. Its worth the extra money..T R U S T M E.

Terrible place to live. Rent is way to high plus you get charged double on utilities. They towed my car today without notice because a tire was flat when I had notified the office that I was taking it with me once my lease was up which is literally in 2 weeks. This place doesnt care about you. You are better off buying a house or renting else where. Edit We just moved to our own home. These guys sent us a move out bill that totals to 1250$ 750$ for new carpet even when they didn't even get us new carpet apon moving in. These guys are relentless and will try to take everything you have to stay clear of this place......
