The Woodlands Plaza Toledo Hotel

Marriott recently bought this hotel and they are apparently remodeling it. But for the day, I got stuck in an old room, bad carpeting, clean, but everything was in obvious disrepair. I hope the remodel finishes soon, or at least the get far enough to put clients in the new rooms, because the old ones are pretty bad. Rooms : 3/5 | Service : 4/5 | Location : 4/5 More

It's a big place, easy to get lost. Stayed for a local event with a group of people, all in all it was a good experience. The prices in the restaurant are reasonable for a hotel restaurant, and the rooms was clean and reasonably priced. It seems pretty safe since its on a college campus, thou it was a bit open in the parking lot. The hotel also seems to be going through renovations as I saw a huge crane outside, plus signs of upgrades. While the room was dated (hence the renovations) the bed felt new as well as the sheets. All in all worth the value all around.

Im not sure how this Hotel received any good reviews. For years they have had a reputation of excellence however reputations can be deceiving. The room was dirty and full of stains on the outdated carpet. The bathroom was full of unacceptable blemishes and filth. After getting switched to a second room which was not even a hair better, I had found several hairs in the obviously not cleaned bed. My advice would be to find alternate overnight accommodations and avoid the frustration of this establishment.
