The Skirvin Hilton Oklahoma City

Pros: * Really nice staff who were responsive to requests and very helpful. * Architecturally-interesting lobby and lively piano bar. * Fast elevators (wasn't expecting that in an older hotel). * Room service was fast. * Tasty cocktails. * Bacon on Day One Room service breakfast was all perfectly crisp. Cons: * Blood stains on the pillowcases. * Other stains on the sheets. * Room would not cool off enough to sleep comfortably. Even after yeeting the duvet/comforter, I was still too warm under just a sheet. * The bed was angled from so many people sitting on the left edge, and I came close to rolling off a few times in the night. * The mattress gave me a backache that I still have three days later. * "Glass-door refrigerator" was actually a beat-up, crooked, dented, black, dorm room fridge. * Broken switch on hair dryer (hope you like drying your hair on "high"). * Beat-up desk chair. The [fake?] leather on the arms and seat was shredded. * Inconvenient (and scary) location of self-park. Room Service Cons: * Hash browns were greasy, limp, and pale. There wasn't anything crispy or brown about them. * Coffee -- the $3 carafe from room service -- tasted like it had fish sauce in it. * No jam for the toast. * No salt and pepper. * Scrambled eggs were swimming in bright yellow grease. * Bacon on Day Two of Room service was limp and greasy. I hate to say it because the staff was so nice, but the next time I travel to OKC, I won't be staying at The Skirvin.

Service slow due tomlaxk of employees at front desk but friendly and efficient. Valet great and friendly. Rooms clean and feel comfortable. Minor updating is needed for carpeting, but I really enjoyed this place and loved the piano bar! Careful to not use wrong website to reserve. They do not help you when third parties sites overcharge you (Guest Reservations is an odd company and not sure how Google sent me there when I searched for skirvin hotel. Otherwise, all good!)

I stayed here for almost two weeks and enjoyed every minute I spent here. The staff is amazing, the old time feel of the hotel enhanced by the big band type music playing in the background takes you back in time, and the location cant be beat. Bricktown is a short 7 minute walk away and has lots of places to eat, see, and do. This is my go to for OKC moving forward!

Historic hotel. Rooms are VERY dated. Rooms: Rooms do not have refrigerator or microwave inside. Microwave located down near front desk. There is also no complimentary soap for washing hands. Although this is a Hilton property, there are no Hilton complimentary toiletries.
