Hampton Inn & Suites Portland-Pearl District

I really liked the room, and the breakfast was awesome. But I found garbage rappers stuffed behind our bed. Lots of ants in our room. The cleaning ladies never came by, or knocked. The valet left my car on the street for hours, charged me double parking for 2 nights and forgot to bring my car out. They said (my ticket expired)? The hotel comped me my snacks for the trouble, but it was kinda annoying to deal with. The room it self was nice the bathroom door was a rolling door/ closet. Being able to go on the roof was cool. Overall its a nice hotel, with a nice pool but a few problems here and there. Rooms: Room had bugs and left over garbage.

Great location near Chinatown and Powells books. Staff were so great and my family was surprised and so thankful for the Easter egg hunt. The breakfast was excellent and we loved the rooftop lounge.

This is a nice hotel but of course they will charge a lot for valet. The customer service could definitely use some improvement. I was told about early check in and when I arrive the key card machine was updating and I would get a call when I can check in. Well 4 hours later, no phone call. I literally booked a cheap hotel for a couple hours just to have a place to relax. Finally when able to check in they gave a terrible apology for not contacting about check in. Like why did they get my phone number if they werent gonna use it?? Overall the building is ok, the parking is nonexistent, the customer service terrible, the rooms are laid out in such a weird way (why is the tv on the side of the bed?). Wouldnt stay here again but thats just me

I have never experience such an excellent customer service as I did at Hampton Inn and Suites. The most outstanding hotel receptionist named Jake went out of his way to make sure our stay was pleasant. Jake went far and beyond always being willing,helpful, friendly, professional and caring with every question I asked him. I really hope his talent gets recognized. Nearby activities: We visit the Chinese Garden which it was beautiful, the biggest book store I have ever seen, and the Pionere Place. Walkability: We love how easy it was to walk to supermarkets, stores, Powell bookstore, and restaurants. Food & drinks: We enjoyed the Whole Foods stores mainly. We are vegetarians and finding something healthy to eat was easy.
