One Green World

I ordered three fig trees recently. I received three sticks in a one gallon pot that has mold in them. Very bad service. I believe this Nursery is going down based on the service I received. Please see below pictures. I believe they have these pots somewhere in the nursery not taking care of. They pot has insects where I received it. I received a message from the nursery asking me to do a scratch test. I ordered a live tree, not a cutting. Moreover, The mold and issues associated with this order. This issue is not solve yet. This is only marketing game. Once solved, I will post it. As simple as that. You should not sell this sticks in the first place. Mold, bad soil that smell due to mold, ......All what I need is to receive live trees with green leaves or my refund. I sent you already 5 emails and left 3 voice mails. you have my cell to call me.

Purchased 4 one gallon Fig trees which arrived soaking wet and covered in moss. They had been stripped of buds, probably for cuttings. The branches were very stiff. I repotted them and roots were fragile/dead. There was a rotting cavity in one tree, which I cleaned out and sealed. Waited 3 weeks while all my other figs budded and leafed out, no luck on these they are dead. Emailed OGW a week ago with no reply, which says everything I need to know.

Ordered 2 mulberries from their website and I was pleasantly surprised at the size and health. Literally no bugs or signs of bug damage, plants were clean, healthy, and beautiful. Never been to their physical local but I'll definitely be a repeat customer from now on. Also they're great with shipping, quick to reply to emails and inquiries, and really helpful as well. If you're looking for an online retailer, they're a good one.

I discovered One Green World in 2006 when a friend showed me their paper catalogue, and I was hooked by their incredible variety of edible plants, many of which I'd had never heard of before. Since then I've ordered from them several times and it's always been a great experience. This past month I ordered a pineapple guava plant online and picked-up it up in person at their shop in Portland. The process was very smooth, and the plant is healthy and a good size. In some ways they function more like a mail order company that allows pick-up rather than a typical retail store - they don't answer their phone, but they are very quick to respond to email and voicemail, and always very polite and helpful.

I like an adventure, and driving east in search of One Green World on a beautiful sunny morning made me feel happy. My permaculture-based landscapers had gotten lots of the fruit trees and plants there for my newly sheet-mulched yard, and had highly recommended it to me. I was greeted by Daniel, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Not much indoors, but, he quickly went outside and brought in everything I had asked for. One thing I'd come in for was asparagus crowns, and, lucky for me, he had 3 large plants instead of the small 1-yr old crowns. I also got some beautiful healthy stevia, and a nice perennial leek plant. He told me where I could shop for some other gardening stuff I needed, and was kind and helpful. I'm glad I went the extra mile to support this independent local nursery. The service was excellent, the plants look healthy. Works for me!
