image Currently reside here. Looks nice but everything falls apart easily And putting in work orders takes for ever! And when they get to you they have an attitude about the work that needs to be done. My living room wall leaks and nothing being done. Can’t put blinds up because the wall is so damaged from the water.

image I have lived at Ridge Court Apartments for over 3 years. I did not have any problems until about one year ago when new tenants moved in above me. Water started leaking from the ceiling in my hallway on and off starting in February 2019. The leaking was not addressed until I sent an extensive email to several regional managers in May 2019. After that, painting was done to cover the water damage that was visible on the hallway walls. However, the hallway ceiling leaking continued intermittently from February 2019 - and the last hallway ceiling leak was about 4 months ago. This month (February 2020), I went to lay in my bed to find water leaking from my bedroom ceiling. I submitted a maintenance request and was told that the water was coming from outside the building and that the brick on the outside had to be tended to. In the meantime, the mattress on my bed continued to get water damage in the form of yellow spots. I have finally requested to move into another apartment unit as I am fed up with the leaking problems. Eventually, the regional property manager returned my phone call after many attempts to get in touch with her via email and phone. She told me that the leaking from the ceiling in the hallway was in fact NOT a leak because it was due to water the tenants above me caused. I was confused as to how water dripping from the ceiling was NOT a leak. The regional property manager also told me that the water leaking from my hallway ceiling was not a reason to move because it wasn’t related to any malfunctions in the structure of the building, but because the people living above me were causing the excess water flow. She continued to place the blame on the tenants above me and was dismissive of the fact that I had to live with leaking from my hallway – and now bedroom ceiling. Then, when I asked if I would be reimbursed for the water damage to my mattress from the second leak, she stated that “that’s what renters’ insurance is for”. She was unapologetic and appeared to be unconcerned about the leaks. She told me that wear and tear happens to buildings and that’s what my renters’ insurance is for. The lack of accountability and concern for the paying tenants’ living conditions is appalling and disconcerting. Additionally, there is no sense of urgency when it comes to addressing my problems. Unfortunately, I am stuck in this apartment until my lease is up. I am not being accommodated and am forced to live in an apartment not knowing when the next leak will occur. A simple “I’m sorry” or some form of accommodation from the regional manager might have made this stressful and inconvenient experience more tolerable. I would not recommend renting with the Galman Group.

image Only giving 1 star due to the fact that the apartments are updated and nice looking, if it wasn't for that I would give 0 stars. The apartments themselves are small but nice in a convenient location. The parking is not by spot, so basically having a "parking permit" means nothing (and you will see plenty of cars parked who don't have the sticker). People park EVERYWHERE in this lot and myself and my fiance have had to call to get cars towed a few times in order to be able to get out of the lot and go to to work. The property manager and regional property manager have been unaccommodating and blatantly rude. We asked 4 months ahead of our lease end date if it would be possible to get out of our lease 1-2 months earlier than our end date and were told there was no way (even after asking the higher ups and asking why they wouldn't do this when the rate the apartments were currently going for was more than what we were paying anyway). After asking the regional property manager if they were aware how poor their online review were she responded "well we're at full capacity... so..." Aka they don't care. They also price out their monthly rent by the time of year and how long your lease is. When renewing we simply asked them to accommodate us for an additional 6 month lease at the 12 month rate (as we've been easy tenants who consistently pay on time) and was literally laughed at over the phone. Galman Group is a corporate scam over and money hungry. Would not recommend to a friend, or an enemy for that matter.

image My boyfriend and I were moving into our first apartment together and this was the place we decided on for multiple reasons. We love that there was a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and more than enough closet space for a one bedroom apartment. Not to mention all utilities are included outside of cable and electric. Electric never usually went above 50 dollars, maybe around 70 max if you manage your AC well. We were able to comfortably fit our king size bed into the bedroom with plenty of space on either side and room for our dresser and night stands as well. Lots of people complain about parking but I mean, it’s very obvious that it’s a small parking lot when you get a tour and they tell you up front that it’s first come first serve with a permit. We never really had any issues parking on Paoli if the parking lot was full.
Upon living here for the past 8 months we have had a wonderful experience. Kevin is fantastic and showed us our apartment to start and helped transfer us to Ridgeview smoothly as well when we wanted to move into a slightly bigger place. Our maintenance man Hank is so nice and knows what he’s doing. He came in the middle of the night to help with a leak from the upper apartment coming down into our hallway and fixed it immediately(not to mention that was 1 of 3 maintenance calls we had to make in 8 months which isn’t bad at all). Tamika helped us transition smoothly and is a great property manager as well.
We now live in Ridgeview but not because of any bad situations at ridge court aside from my boyfriend and I felt crowded together and wanted to spread out a little, and when we requested this transition they all did an amazing job helping us get everything together and we were able to move in within a week of making this decision not only because the apartment was available now but they made it possible for us and we are so thankful.
I know occasionally someone will have a bad experience, but if you don’t want pest problems just get an apartment on an above ground floor. We were on the second floor farthest away from Ridge Ave and closer to the woods and NEVER had a pest problem.
Also read your dang lease and know when the deadlines are and the right numbers to call if there’s a problem, or of course you’re going to have a bad experience, otherwise this is the nicest apartment I’ve ever lived in, and I lived with some awful landlords and apartments before.
Bottom line, just be smart about which apartment you choose and read your info and ask questions so you know what to do in a situation and they can more easily help you. This is a great apartment complex.
