Domus is a wonderful place to meet people, from the layout, to the events and amenities. I met a few people who took the dance class and it was a nice ice breaker to meeting people and developing relationships with my neighbors and expanding my circle. The event organizer Odellya is amazing!

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! Domus absolutely provides the least convenience service to their residents and has the most annoying company policies ever!!! None of the company's policy is made to benefit residents or make your life easier. They will try everything they can to charge extra from you, and the maintenance never fix your things completely. Living here gives you the most inconvenient and annoying experiences. They only wants money from you and will not help you for anything!!!

I found myself giving this place just a one-star rating, as negative stars aren't even an option. There's a peculiar issue with the blades emitting a rather unpleasant odor whenever the temperature rises or the sun hits them, releasing what seems to be awful chemical toxins. It's become a constant concern for my physical health. The bathrooms, unfortunately, seem to be plagued with black mold in both the sink and toilet. On a somewhat related note, when residents move in, there's this odd occurrence of small bugs flying out of the sink unless it's sealed shut when not in use. Additionally, the rooms in the corners seem to be dealing with quite the cockroach problem. Now, the package system is a bit of a puzzle. Even if you're not particularly interested in the package service, they've come up with new rules that somehow lead to taking away all food deliveries, making you pay just to get your food delivered (a stark contrast to a year ago when all package deliveries were free for everyone). On top of that, there's this additional $35 charge per month just for receiving the bill from PECO and having it billed to your resident's account. Moving on to the move-out fine, it's raised some eyebrows. A 2b2b was charged a whopping $1500 for room damage, leaving us wondering what could have been damaged to warrant such a hefty fee. And, for perspective, our friends who moved out from a 1b1b were charged over $1000. These seemingly extravagant charges are a more recent development; no one who moved out before this fall has faced such inflated amounts. Just a friendly reminder, being students doesn't equate to being naive. Sure, the location holds up, but that shouldn't be a reason to compromise on service. Considering the price tags (over $3000 for 1b1b, over $4000 for 2b2b), the service simply doesn't match.

EDIT: Response to the reply from the property manager: The elevator company was back the second time on around July 10. As a matter of fact, I sent email about this issue again on July 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26 and 27. I got response for the emails before July 26 (although nothing was actually done). However, the last one that I sent on July 27 did not receive any response. The situation deteriorated even further at late Aug, and so I sent email on Aug 30, Sep 5, 7, 14, 20 respectively. So I don't understand why the property manager claimed that they did not receive any report after the second visit. Also, I can understand apartment will have noise, but definitely not the kind of consistent noise that can wake people from sleeping, especially not in an expensive ($4000 for 2b2b) and supposedly luxurious apartment. If I still need to bear with this kind of basic problems, why don't I choose those cheap $1500 apartments instead? ------- My bedroom is right next to the elevator. I can hear the elevator noise from inside my bedroom. It is very noisy, and sometimes it even makes some squeaky noise that can wake people up from sleeping. I also cannot concentrate on my work, or to relax, in such a noisy environment. The noise is so loud that even earbuds cannot block away the noise. I reported this problem to maintenance the day after I moved in, but problem is still not solved. It has always been 3 months. The noise can still be heard from the bedroom on the other side of the unit, which is 3 walls away from the elevator, although it is not as loud as the bedroom right next to the elevator. Do not choose any unit close to the elevator, including those that are not directly right next to it.
