I often stay at Hampton Inn when traveling. When I made this reservation including my two small dogs I was quoted a $30 total pet fee. I even questioned this twice to be sure. However, the hotel in Knoxville charged us a $75 pet fee. When I disputed this at check in, I was told I must have spoken to the main corporate reservation line who may not know about the local fee structure. I called bull Hampton/Hilton is all the same to me and a rate quoted by any rep local or main reservation line should be honored. I was told they would bring it up to the GM who could issue a refund for the difference which didnt happen. As far as I am concerned these are deceptive bait and switch business practices and I will not stay at this hotel ever again. To be clear had I been quoted $75 originally, I still would have booked the room. However I will not abide liars and cheats!
