Roots the Restaurant

My friends and I unexpectedly discovered this restaurant and it was fabulous! Beautiful decor, delicious food, and friendly service. We will definitely return, it was superb!

Overpriced and unremarkable. The same frozen Sysco fish you could get anywhere. Menu acts fancy but its basically just burgers and fries for the Baby Boom patrons. The craziest thing is the entrance, whoever designed the building put the entrance on the far side (only one way in), so that you walk by the entirety of the restaurant's windows before entering. Lousy design. Don't be fooled - there are NO good restaurants in Rutland, this is not an exception.

Roots is my go to for meetings and casual dining. Simple menu, which I love because every item is amazingly cooked with love!

Had an excellent experience tonight while enjoying dinner with a friend. Atmosphere and service was on point. Food was delicious. I drive through the area often, but don't usually stop for food - I would definitely take a break to enjoy a meal here next time I am in the area. We decided to share a bunch of different plates so we could sample more of the menu. Highly recommend going this route. This was a perfect amount of food for 2 to share. Highly recommend a detour into downtown if you are in the area, instead of stopping at one of the chain restaurants off the highway.
