The hotel staff at check-in were accommodating and shared information about the hotel and surrounding area. The hotel provides an emphasis on the arts and has lots of fun additions sprinkled throughout. The nearby area has a walkable riverwalk and a nearby district (5min walk) with bars and restaurants to explore.

coolest hotel i've ever stayed in, with rotating art galleries on the first two floors, a glass of champagne on check-in, a record player with vinyls and a ukelele in every room, art even in the hand soap and on the shower wall, a live dj playing til 1 AM in the bar, and an amazing pizza place to end off the night (free since we had the expedia $20 food credit)! very reasonable price for all these unique amenities, central downtown location, and a one-night stay that left an impression. will have to check out the giggly champagne bar and stay in the leopard print room next time i'm here!

First and foremost, I did NOT stay in one of their rooms, so I can't give you an honest review of that. The location of this hotel is in the middle of downtown, so there are many bars, restaurants, etc. within walking distance. The Marcus Center, which hosts the ballet, Milw. Symphony is directly across the street. I came to eat at Proof Pizza, which is essentially located just off the lobby of this hotel. The lobby area is strangely set up. There is a bar located just inside the revolving door main entrance with a few tables and bar seating. They had live music on Saturday late afternoon, which is when I was there. There are a few small bistro type tables for up to three people to sit at, but there isn't much room to eat comfortably because the tables are very small. There are also couches and chairs with low coffee tables, similar to what you would find in someone's home. We ended up having to sit on one of the couches but because there were many other people also there, and the table being so low, we essentially had to eat our pizza and salad on our laps because the table wasn't accessible to physically eat at. Having to eat on her lap made it very difficult for my daughter, who uses a wheelchair for mobility. The seating area is located in a more modern architectural floor. If you use a wheelchair, scooter, walker, or cane for mobilty there are ramps to access this floor, but one of the ramps has a table placement right at the end of the ramp so it was hard to maneuver with people sitting at the table. There are two ramps to get you onto different levels, which are carpet covered and a little steep, so my daughter needed my assistance to maneuver herself. I also noticed a few garbage receptacles that were overflowing with plastics cups, plates, etc. Our server/waitress was very friendly and helpful, but she was VERY busy.
