Not a luxury hotel. It's old and rundown. Beds are lumpy and hard , cob webs on the ceiling thin walls. Towels that you could sand Oak with. Rooms: Tiny old TVs no AC very hot lumpy beds and towels that you could use for sandpaper Food & drinks: Only drinks I had was the free coffee in the room. Ate at the cafe for breakfast I will NOT recommend that at all food was the same as you would get as a free continental breakfast but you're paying $20 for it.

Nice location downtown. The room is pretty standard and the beds were comfortable. Housekeeping knocked on the door several times until I answered at 730 am. When I opened the door he said When are you leaving? Never in my life have I been woken up so rudely by hotel staff.

The rooms are hot. There is no turning the air off just down to 60 but even with the a.c. blaring at 60 degrees the room never fell below 75. Between the heat, the paper thin walls, the doors (both to the hall way amd bathroom) slam for each room so you can hear as all your neighbors (above, below and to both sides) use the bathroom or exit thier rooms. The shower is moldy, bathroom bulbs need replaced, no light above the sink. Shower curtain is a thin fabric on a curved bar and doesn't block the water so no matter how careful you are the floor will get wet. Only 2 towels for a 4 person room. We asked for more but none came. No microwave or mini fridge and the ice bucket is big enough for two small bottles of water. The elevators. I cant. Its faster for the stairs and probably safer. We are hilton rewards members. We come here every year for two nights for a convention and not one thing has improved since 2015. The Cafe has no options other than a breakfast buffet at 23.xx a person. The Miller Time Pub only offers its limited menu at a higher cost anytime there's a convention. There are no family options for food within walking distance unless you are satisfied with Dunkin Donuts. The website still says free breakfast with your stay, but in the 8 consecutive years we've stayed here, both parking and breakfast are not included. I'll be back with the same review next year. I dont know how this is a 4 star hotel. Any human you speak with gives it 1 or 2 stars tops, all with the same concerns. I think they pad the stars because of the name. I invite whoever it is that gives this "4 diamonds" to come stay with us normies in a regular room. I wish this gave picture options so I could show pics of the problems. Rooms: Haven't been updated in years. Bathroom moldy. Light bulbs need replaced, only 1 in bathroom worked. All doors slam every time they are opened the whole hallway down so you hear everytime someone leaves thier room or uses thier bathroom including the people above, below, and to the sides of you. Rooms never go below 75 degrees. It's so hot and uncomfortable. The heater/ac goes down to 60 but the temp never and I mean never goes below 75. You can't open the windows so sleeping was impossible for 2 nights. I really wish I could post picture proof here. Tv doesn't work. Food & drinks: Expensive, limited menu at higher cost anytime theres a convention. Online menu looks great but isnt offered. The Cafe only gives you the option of the breakfast buffet at 23.xx a person. Coffee was disgusting. You could chew it. Coffee provided in room was 2 pods, 2 creamers, and 2 sugars for our 4 person 3 day stay. No microwaves for guest use. No microwave in the room or mini fridge.

My first time staying at this hotel was super easy using the Hilton app to book, check in, unlock my room etc. My second time staying at this hotel was on a business trip that my boss had booked my hotel room for, and he had entered some information incorrectly which led to some difficulties at the front desk. Haley stepped in to help out her colleague who was assisting me with this & she went above and beyond to make sure that the strange and complicated issue was resolved in the best possible way. All of my interactions with staff have been great, the dogs are adorable, and the hotel does a great job handling events hosted here and at the attached convention center. The Starbucks in the lobby is super convenient. There's also a Walgreens just down the street to shop for basics at.

I certainly appreciate you taking the time to write me concerning your recent stay at our hotel. I was sorry to read that we failed to meet your expectations in several areas. It is our goal to consistently provide the highest quality in both product and service, and it is vital to our continued success to know when we have fallen short of our own high standards. Let me simply say that all of us here at the Hilton Milwaukee are committed to providing a much better and more pleasant experience for our guest than what you had the misfortune of experiencing. Again, thank you for taking the time to write. I sincerely hope that you will allow us another opportunity to demonstrate our true level of hospitality and interest in serving you properly.
