EMW Carpets & Furniture

Don't buy your carpet here and avoid carpets from the manufacturer Karastan. We purchased an expensive wool carpet that turned out to be defective with fuzz balls constantly produced from simply walking on the carpet. Neither EMW nor Karastan were willing to stand behind their product and replace the carpet. Poor customer service!

Update: In January 2019 EMW replaced the couches with the same brand, Best Home Furnishings. In October 2019, I noticed a rip along the seam of a back cushion. One of the cushions has also worn a hole from people sitting and rubbing the fabric. I contacted the store and they were responsive but it is now Feb 2020 and I haven't heard back from the store. To boot, any messages I've left have remained unanswered. Original Post: Staff is great and very helpful. Other posts are correct, no high pressure sales. The low rating is for the product I purchases there. The brand purchased was Best Home Furnishing. The couches are just not holding up very well. They were delivered in December 2017, it is now August 2018 and they look like we've had the furniture for years not months. EMW has been very responsive to my concern and is working to resolve the issue. I don't think any big box furniture store would be providing the same customer service EMW is.

I highly recommend EMW to anyone who is looking for real experts at a reasonable price who are trustworthy, always on time, reliable, fast, friendly, customer oriented (I always got a YES) and super professional. In short: This company is the best kept secret (you really have to search for them) and their leader Eric Helmstaedter is just amazing! They installed new carpet throughout our house and it finally feels like home... The team (all fully employed) is a reflection of great leadership by Eric. They all love working at EMW and go the extra mile for the customer. Heartfelt thanks to Eric and his team Louis, Orlando, Lalo, Scott and Hakeem. Working with you has been a true pleasure!

Family owned business open for over 90 years. My Dad worked there for 40 years. Sad to see it close!
