The Michelangelo New York

We stayed here one night on Mar 30 to go to Hamilton. The reservation was made back in December or January as the trip was a Christmas present for my granddaughter. There were 3 of us so I reserved a room with 2 king beds. Long story short, we were put in a suite which was supposed to be an upgrade but only had one bed. Nothing said about this when we checked in so we thought it was the wrong room. We were comped the resort fee, but the front desk had to get approval to get a roll away bed brought in. Otherwise the staff, especially the doorman, was great. The location can't be beat for shows. Rooms are beautiful and clean as is all of the hotel, but there were not enough accesible outlets for charging devices.

I'm leaving upset with this hotel, we stayed for a week. They never gave us complimentary water again, they left us only creams instead of shampoo, they didn't let me eat a dessert at their restaurant, even though I bought a coffee . It is an expensive hotel for these details to go over, this makes you angry.

We travelled to the city for a holiday and it was the best place to stay. It is right on times square and within walking distance from the Rockefeller center, the location also has good public transport links including a direct E line travel to Jamaica, the location where you get the air train. The hotel itself is amazing, the doormen immediately took our bags and brought them up to our room, the WIFI is very strong and while I didn't go into the gym there, one of the people who I travelled with said she "Loved it" Each day when we would get back one of the doormen would open the door for us, while it's small and thier job, it was a great thing to have ever day, They did Thier job incredibly well. Another thing to mention, when we got back to the room the maids had remade the beds and restocked our towels, again I know that is Thier job, but they did it so well. On the final day in the city they allowed us to store our bags in a specific bag storage room as we had checked out with one day left to do stuff in the city.

I cannot rave enough to how wonderful my stay was at Michelangelo Hotel. The staff made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. The room was spacious and lovely, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic. Really, to me, the highlight of the hotel was the incredible staff. Everyone from the bellhops/greeters and the workers at the reception desk were the most friendly, caring, wonderful people. We even had a moment where we were walking to the elevator and one of the employees coming out of the elevator, saw us and pressed the button for us before leaving. It left such a large impression on us and I will definitely be recommending this hotel to everyone I meet! Thank you so much Michelangelo Hotel!
