The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City

Old building. It did not have very good venting system. Taking a longer shower could make the whole room quite humid/damp. The room had a sofa, an office desk, a cooler, and an Nespresso coffee machine (and making tasty drink). Most convenient part was probably the location, as it’s side door attached next to a large 5-level shopping mall (aka Fashion Centre at Pentagon City). Other than that, do NOT try the restaurant (Matchbox) - it was quite unreasonable expensive, e.g. all good dishes on the menu were labeled “MP” (market price). Rather taking a Lyft to Fairfax for an authentic dinner, worth a $50 round trip. --- Note: This was a series review of hotel reviews on a round trip from Washington DC to Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Love staying at this hotel when in DC. Great central location, close to the metro and mall. Service is amazing.

Great conference location. Great temperature control and A/V. Average rooms. Not the stereotype Glitz Ritz but still very nice. Connected to the mall with great shopping. 19 min from Reagan.
