Great location, hotel is a bit stuffy, always seemed very dark. I think it is geared towards older clientele. My wife and I were the youngest people we saw and we are late 30's. Restaurant is the classic steakhouse experience. The bar at the restaurant seems very well run and it seems obvious whoever is concocting the drink menu is trying to be inventive while also catering to the normal, older crowd. Drinks were really good and was the most youthful part of the experience. Valet put some serious road rash on one of my wheels and it seems that the valet lot is far removed from the hotel site. All staff was really nice, we utilized the car service one evening and Mark was great. Room tub drain was broke , hard to imagine noone noticed this as they presumably have to wash the tub/shower and the water would seemingly pool in the tub when doing so...not worth mentioning something this obvious while on a 2 night stay. We stayed in a corner room, room was pretty much as expected but lacked a lot of attention to detail, pillows had dust cases on them the first night, every mirror and art was crooked, all the furniture dinged up and sofa cushions completely deflated, room just needed a refresh. Bed extremely comfortable, nice linens and the in room stereo was nice for white noise which is a must in the city. I think for $750 a night there are better stays in the city. We will try a different spot on our next visit to Boston. Food & drinks: Good, inventive bar with some good whiskey and bourbon selections.
