Worst people ever. Will hang up the phone when you express your concerns, they are so unaware of California laws. People are constantly leaving there properties because they are scammers. Go spend your money else where.

I rented an apartment from this company and for the two years I was living there, they were so helpful! Whenever there was a maintenance issue, they were very proactive about sending out a technician either the same day or the next. Debbie and Melissa were the best about following up or checking in to make sure the matter was resolved as well. You can tell they definitely care for their tenants and always listened to what I had to say (even when it was a small problem). The complex I stayed in was always extremely clean and the landscape was beautiful and maintained. When I moved out, they offered a pre-move out inspection and showed me any items I had to fix/clean and gave me the chance to complete them so I wouldn't be charged for them later from my security deposit. The communication was just amazing and have never rented from such great people!

This review is specifically related to the outstanding tenant care ("customer service" if you will) provided by Melissa Moore.  I notice that a lot of reviews for VIP have come up with a plenty to complain about, which I suppose is what Yelp was originally designed for.  Being in the rental business in California is no picnic.  As a tenant, the challenges are myriad and perpetual, and rental prices in general are unreasonable.  It frequently feels impossible to find a good, quiet, peaceful place to live, with fellow tenants who are respectful, considerate, and pleasant to live with.  I rented an apartment on the peninsula with VIP for three years.  In that time, I can say that they went above and beyond in an effort to help make tenant life a better caliber of experience.  Melissa in particular is very attentive, responsive, and kind.  Len is also good people.  I can say that as a renter I took great care of my place, so as my reward I did receive a full refund on my deposit after moving out.  There are so many factors that are out of our control, but I think the Moores do the very best they can to run a quality business and take care of their tenants.  As with any relationship, whether business or otherwise, we get out of it what we put into it, and communication is a critical component to that interface.

From initially looking at the renter property through any issues we had during our lease, VIP staff was prompt and responsive. Melissa is awesome! VIP also offers a pre-move out walkthrough and were so transparent about what we needed to do to ensure we got most of our deposit back. So useful!
