Pretty awful place to rent. I appears nice to the naked eye but I had a leak from upstairs my first month there, though they repaired the leak they never fixed the mold in the sheet rock the entire 13 months I was there. On NYE we had an crazy storm and water was running down my interior walls. Though they sent someone to put a dehumidifier in my unit, which mind you pulled out half a full size garbage can of moisture Noone ever came to collect said can or turn off the dehumidifier or even repair the leaks. I lost a ton of house plants. Decided to turn of dehumidifier after 2 weeks. The sheetrock crumbled and continued to do so until I moved out in June. They also tried to randomly charge everyone $700 for deposit on a deposit free rental that they even charged me a monthly charge for not having a deposit. Upon leaving $3700 was what they said I needed to pay. When infact it was only $1800. Which was my one month's rent for not giving 30 days.

The apartment started off as a pretty good place to liveother than crime in the surrounding area the community was an ok place to be problems soon arose in my unit as the toilet and bathroom started to have leaks. They were fixed but had to be fixed numerous times before finally working somewhat okthen we had the wash room incident to where tenants were forced to leave and do laundry elsewhere due to maintenance having to fix numerous washing machines. This was very inconvenient for me due to the fact that I worked out of town most of the week. shortly after this, we had the hot water issue which caused all tenants in the complex to lose running hot water. This was the most inconvenient and inhumane thing I had ever experienced. I had to boil water to be at home and when this became very expensive due to me having to use, my electricity, I would have to drive an hour away to a friend or family members home to take a shower. Not only Did this affect my sleeping schedule for work and just comfortability at home. But it was inhumane and not fixed in a timely manner, multiple times they put a boiler on the property, but it went out just about every night, I was promised that I would receive a credit or some kind of compensation for the days that we did not have hot water, and this never took place which caused me to put in a 30 day notice and move out. Shortly after I received my credit for about $3400 in unpaid rent This has affected me for moving into a new place, and I have still not received an email for the compensation of time we did not have the hot water California law sets specific requirements for the procedures you must follow before moving out because of a major repair problem. The problem must be truly serious, such as the lack of heat or other essential service. (Green v. Superior Court, 10 Cal.3d 616 (1974) and Cal. Civ. Code 1942 (2023).) Under that code in California law, I was permitted in early, move out and should not be Suffering a hard inquiry on my credit report due to this matter. Not to mention the bugs and roaches that are constantly found crawling around the complex and inside of your own housing as well, overall horrible experience and I would not advise anyone to live here today I have emailed my lawyer as well as the complex to see about getting this hard inquiry taken off of my credit report. It has been very inconvenient and I trusted the management to at least provide my credits for the days I had no hot water as well as the other residence Cody employee for the complex emailed me in regards of this and also told me that I would get the credits that I was supposed to receive and I never received an email back from them regarding this incident. Like I said things started off nice but ended horribly and now Im forced to suffer because of a complex that was inhumane not livable. I will be pressing To get this inquiry off my record even if it means going to court people should not suffer, especially when paying rent on time all the time, then having to deal with and inhabitable living space, Its literally the complex up to par in livable Horrible place to live, and lets not mention the liquor stores surrounding the area that have homeless people outside of them constantly the crime rate in the surrounding area almost at an all-time high. If you have kids or you want to live comfortable this would not be the place IHorrible place to live, and lets not mention the liquor stores surrounding the area that have homeless people outside of them constantly the crime rate in the surrounding area almost at a all-time high.
