Jerrel Dunsworth has been doing my taxes for almost 18 yrs. He was referred to me by an IATSE friend of mine. I was a Local 399 member and when I retired Jerrel made the transition seamless. For me, Jerrel's experience in handling clients that work in the entertainment business is extremely supportive. He reviews your account annually to make sure you are utilizing the most current tax advantages. During Covid he was great in taking care of my needs remotely. With the way the world is today, it's reasurring to have qualified people who care managing your taxes. Thank you, Jerrel and January!

Read the reviews I would advise you to avoid Jerrel just like he avoids talking to his clients. The only thing you will get here is a frustrating run around. I'm not sure what's up with this dude. Lots of lies and all around lazy attitude for 4 months. Just retire then & why waste peoples time and lively hood? You're a straight up joke.

Honestly I always felt that I was being taken care of here. As the years progressed and I even became incorporated - I sadly was misinformed.The communication level in this office is not good. You email and try to call but it seems you are forgotten and never receive the tax advice you need to conduct a business.I want to give Jerry the best in his semi-retirement bc he did what he could but now after months of not being with them I am beginning to see where they mishandled my paperwork and created a multitude of problems after the fact.First I am no longer with them. They dropped me bc I was not the client they wanted. It's fair. I'm not a money maker. But first it was the IRS who penalized me for a late return. The fact is that I turned everything in by early march and the office waited till the last second to submit. Bc of that and the USPS the return got there late. I was penalized and left with no tax help and had to figure out why and what happened. They did fix that problem but getting a penalty from the IRS is never fun.Secondly, they never paid the $5 fee to update me yearly with the FTB (Franchise TaxBoard). That penalty costs my business $250!! I had to resolve that matter on my own again even though they missed their due diligence and never updated that for my business. On top of that is the fact that they had to update that thru the FTB and tell the Secretary of State (CA) to update the information on the company. They didn't do that either. That information never was updated either and it is now costing me vendors who will not do business with me bc I have a suspension on my account. The bureaucracy runs deep and is very disjointed. These agencies don't talk to each other and if they do - it takes months to repair the problem due to incompetence and red tape. It's pathetic. Unfortunately I'd say move on - there are better places to get an accountant

Jerrel and his staff are amazing. Very helpful and he is very knowledgeable of all the tax laws etc. Extremely happy with the outcome of our taxes. Highly recommend. He is amazing with people in the Motion Picture Industry and self-employed clients.
