I had a tax issue/dispute with the IRS from 2006. I "hired" Tax Avengers quite a while back to assist me. When I went in for a "consultation" I spoke with Eva, David, & Michael & asked them for their honest opinion on the matter. They looked over my appeal letter I had written & said I had basically done half the work myself and that they were pretty sure they could reduce my total balance by half, if not, more. We agreed on a fee for the work they purported they would be doing on my behalf. All that came from it is that they got me approved for an installment payment plan which anyone/any taxpayer without any type of "professional" training or knowledge could do him/herself. I followed up with them a few times over a course of several months but got nothing substantial from them and when I did receive any type of correspondence from them it was the bill for their "service". After paying their fee and giving them some more time I called back and spoke with Eva & told her that by hiring them all I did was add almost another $1,000 on top of what I was being asked for by the IRS & was extremely disappointed by the lack of results after buying into their reassurances. All she did was apologize. I have nothing personal against these people but as a business that's supposed to provide a niche service they get a well deserved failing grade. I should have written this review a very long time ago but did not want to bother. I'm not sure if they're even still around but I was reminded of them with the upcoming tax deadlines and wanted to share my experience.
