    Our experience with Annie was great. She helped guide us through the sale of our townhouse from start to finish and was an excellent communicator along the way. She was very organized with arranging open houses, responsive to our requests throughout the process, helped us evaluate the several offers we received, and kept us informed of the buyers loan status during closing.

    Unethical. Do not do business with. Long story short - representing the seller, Annie broke contract with us to accept a higher offer. Longer story - Annie Baker was representing the seller. My wife and I were buying our first home. They accepted our offer, and we went into contract to purchase the home, with a single contingency. The contingency was that the seller's purchase of their new house would close escrow - they were already in contract. Annie and her seller kept getting phone calls with higher back up offers. Then Annie came back to us days after we were in contract (elated at purchasing our first home finally!) and told us that we needed to raise our purchase price somewhere between $15k and $33k or they would back out of contract. We said no, we are in contract. That is the very reason for a contract - so you can't later change the price or terms. Annie then temporarily backed out of the seller's purchase contract of their new house, activating the contingency and cancelling our contract. Annie then accepted an offer for $25k higher, and then took the seller and went right back into contract to buy the same house that was written into our contingency. This might have been legal, or illegal, but either way it was super unethical and poor business practice. When cancelling their purchase temporarily (to activate our contingency and get out of contract), they literally wrote this as the reason for backing out of their purchase: "Buyer had to cancel the sale of his house contract with the buyer he had in contract" ... and beyond that, they even kept the money in escrow knowing full well they were going back into contract to purchase the same house, writing on the cancellation paperwork "Escrow will remain holding the earnest deposit". So unethical.
