Mia Banks was introduced to me (and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) by my best friend to help me sell my childhood home. Im extremely sentimental, So this was a very difficult decision for me. I also live 3000 miles away from the property, and was unable to make any time to travel or oversee anything in person. To be honest, I was a wreck at the beginning, but Mia hit the ground running, and most importantly, gave me all of the assurances I needed that I was in good hands.
Mia worked tirelessly throughout the entire process, was never too pushy, yet always there when I needed her. (always). She knew exactly what to do and when, knew the answers to all of my questions, even questions I didnt even know that I should be asking. My home was staged and advertised so perfectly that when I saw the ad in the MLS, it looked like a brand new home! (not bad for a 50+ year old home!).
In the end, and as a huge surprise to us both, I ended up getting close to $1 million over my asking price. (!!).

Mia helped us on the recent purchase of a new home. From first meeting Mia I found her to be thorough, proactive and transparent as well as very easy to work with. On all the properties we looked at in this process she was proactive in making a deep dive on disclosures, engaging the city on planning-related questions and staying persistent on items that either the sellers or their agents were reluctant to disclose. End to end the process was lightened by Mia being thorough and doing her homework in ways Ive not seen other agents proactively do. Ive purchased many buildings over the years but only the most recent one with Mia and I was surprised from the onset of how differently her work ethic compared to the standard of various agents Id grown accustomed to. Ill also add that Mia remained helpful pursuant to the transaction being completed. Any new client should expect shes a good communicator, keeps detailed records, does the research and is very professional in executing her role. She has set a new standard of expectation for me on how brokers should participate in future.

Buyer's Agent: Mia helped us to find our forever home, which was no easy feat. We had chosen Portola Valley as our forever location, and houses in the area were few and far between (and always with multiple bids!), and we even started to look in other neighboring areas. We were not easy customers. Mia works tirelessly and is very responsive. She kept us on top of any new listings that met our general specifications, and she visited houses with us two or three times. She also poured over disclosure reports (always advising we do the same!), looked into local code requirements and in general is very knowledgeable about everything but will not hesitate to pick up the phone and call people with expertise in a specific area. Mia spent a lot of time to help ensure we were looking at houses we would be ultimately happy with, and also very importantly, that we were not buying into a potential fiasco. Mia accomplished the mission, and we are now living in our forever home in our forever location, Central Portola Valley. We would highly recommend Mia if you are looking for a home.
Listing Agent: In parallel, Mia was our listing agent for our home in Portola Valley Ranch. We were late to market in the summer, and also had bad timing as 4 other homes in the immediate area, including two on our street, came on the market at the same time as ours. Mia had well flagged us on these items, but our personal timing had not lined up. She did a fantastic job working with us, prepping the home (without following the robotic broker process we so often see), and finding a buyer who wanted/needed exactly what was best with our home. He guidance along the way, and her genuine concern for our needs showed through really strongly. She kept us on front of her radar screen, and avoiding the challenges we have seen elsewhere to simply get the transaction done. We recommend Mia to anyone on the listing side, and are happy to discuss this directly.
