We just ended our reservation early due to so many problems when they stayed here. The location is fantastic right in the middle between old Sac and the downtown Plaza, which made it walkable to all the locations we were hoping to visit. However, upon check-in, we were told that we would have to change rooms after the first night due to a big group that they had blocked out rooms for. Considering that this was something blocked out months ago I dont understand why it required me moving. This would require us fully packing up checking out of our room by 11, bringing all of our belongings into the lobby, or trusting the bell boy with them in our room, and rechecking into our new room later that afternoon when a room is available. The woman at the desk helping us were not sympathetic to the hassle, and in my opinion treated me as though I was inconveniencing them versus the other way around. The staff and the dining room was the only exception and the woman helping us at the hostess counter was fantastic and super friendly.
When we finally did check into our first room, the toilet was splattered with somebody elses $&@/. I do not understand how somebody signs off on cleaning a hotel room and has a clean the poop out of the toilet. Beyond that the rooms are just sad and outdated. Wile getting dressed and in the shower, two staff, maintenance and housekeeping attempted to walk in without knocking!! Once we packed up our second day there, we decided to just leave and stay at a different location. We had such a great time at our other hotel It made this one stand out even more as being a bad experience.
