This is a mom and pop kinda tax shop. According to Jay, he has been doing the tax services here since many years. I went here for last year tax filing and had an overall negative experience. I gave them the papers few weeks before tax deadline and their data entry staff prepared the preliminary tax docs for me. Owner Jay didn't review the forms at that time due to busy season and kept pushing me on foreign income requirements. It was so hard to communicate or book time with Jay. I had to eventually file for an extension for the first time.
2 weeks before extension deadline, I was told that their staff made a mistake in joint tax filing and I owe some money with penalty to IRS. I promptly sent the check to avoid any issues. Later, I was told they had lost my papers including W-2s and will find and return later or cover the costs for papers. Finally, they found the file after I insisted I need my papers back. Very unprofessional experience and will never go here again for tax filing.
