Mathnasium

My son was not being challenged in first grade despite my efforts at working with his teacher to give him math work at his level. Towards the end of the school year, I started looking into extracurricular programs that would give my son the opportunity to learn at his own pace. We looked at the programs available in the area and my son chose this Mathnasium center. What struck me most about the early days at Mathnasium is how excited my son would be to attend. We had him enrolled in a variety of summer camps, yet his favorite place to go was Mathnasium. This was the exact opposite reaction he had to doing extra work at home; it had become a battle to get him to do even his assigned homework from school, let alone any extra work. Whereas my son relished doing work and reaching mastery check at Mathnasium. I have been very pleasantly surprised that this trend has continued. From my perspective, I attribute it in large part to the people at Mathnasium. David and his team are simply great with kids. They are very welcoming, greeting my son by his name and asking him about his other activities, or school, or how hes doing. I am certain they are equally great at working with kids in a positive manner during sessions as well, as my son regularly leaves with a smile on his face. Much of Mathnasiums advertising that I have seen centers around giving kids confidence in math and reigniting the interest/joy in the subject and in that regard they have absolutely delivered for my son. His confidence has soared and, after a few short months, is working 1-2 grade levels above his own. Honestly, my only hesitance in writing this review is that I dont want the center to become too busy to accommodate my son at the times that work best for my family. This center is an absolute gem. Although it is not inexpensive, I and my wife have spent a lot of money on our kids education, from private school to books and apps and educational programs and I can confidently say that I have not seen better results for the money than Mathnasium.

Been having a wonderful experience at Mathnasium. Carol, David, and the Mathnasium tutors have helped both of my children. My kids started Mathnasium in the beginning of the pandemic and it helped and prepared my older son to get into Math Academy as a freshman at SCHS. My younger son was struggling in math and found it very challenging. He was embarrassed to ask his teacher and friends for help on zoom, and lacked confidence with his math skills. Mathnasium helped him to understand math, prepare for tests, and definitely boosted his confidence level. He's still challenged with math, however he's built important skills and advanced to 7th grade math upon entry as a 6th grader at MHMS.Both of my kids have enjoyed Mathnasium. The tutors are helpful, knowledgeable, and make learning math concepts fun. They also love the yummy treats and fun incentives that helped push them to learn math. Your kids will definitley leave Mathnasium a better student. GO MATHNASIUM!!
