Huntington Retirement

If I could, I would put 0 stars. I dont even know where to start with this review. Our family had my grandma live here because it was the best option we had for covid as we are relatively poor and have no place to have her live anywhere else, throughout her staying at huntington retirement she would be telling us stories about how poor she was treated by staff and we sadly put it off as her "old people rambling" and trying to make her feel better, however, we have found this to not be the case. Of course my grandma is a bit wacky, whose isnt? But that does not give them the right to verbally, mentally and physically abuse her by any means whether that be by saying stuff to purposefully get her upset directly to her face, calling her by a name she dosent like despite being told numerous apon numerous times to use the one everyone in our family uses, and not making sure she takes her life saving medicine keeping her alive which has cost everyone many hospital visits that could have been easily avoided if the workers cared or had enough empathy to keep another living human being alive. The higher ups are just as nasty, they may seem all nice at first but its purely a psychopathic facade as they truly are the filthiest saying that there was nothing wrong with the way they were treating my grandma and that thats just how it is. As I am typing this out they are kicking my grandma out with no place to live (which they know that we have no place to put her currently) during the winter without her belongings. I urge you to please rethink having anyone you love live here as its nothing but a hole where people go to have their souls painfully and slowly ripped out of them until they die thinking how horrible of an end to this life is.

I would highly recommend Huntington Retirement & assisted living facility. My father was a resident for 8 months after suffering a stroke. The staff & caregivers are great! They took exceptional care of my father! I cant say enough about the kindness of the staff. The facility is very clean .

Grandma and an auntie are living here. Staff have been really friendly, supportive and accommodating. A really nice place for people in need of daily care and support. According to grandma, everyone is nice and the food is good.

Huntington Retirement is truly a very special place. I've visited and researched my fair share of care homes for my dad, who has vascular dementia. The love and care my father receives there is second to none. It all starts with Heather and Corina at the helm who have hearts of gold themselves and that spirit is present in all of the wonderful employees. Nina and Cristina are true angels on the staff. Everyone there has become a member of my father's family. Quite frankly, my father is more responsive to them than us. Sure, it would be nice to be acknowledged and get a smile out of him, but I am so enthralled that the staff there has forged a beautiful relationship with him that elicits laughter and smiles from him with each interaction! Here's to Huntington and a job incredibly done! On behalf of my entire family, we could not be happier and are indebted to them for the true home they have created for my dad.
