Service was the best. Thanks, Molly! She even found some reading glasses to lend us. The motel is in a fantastic location where one can easily access the river trail and downtown. It's also an old motel, so quite basic but very clean and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The walls are thin so could easily hear others but we were lucky that people quieted down before it got very late. I'd definitely return.

Awesome place, great that they allow dogs, close to everything, cheap. Right by the park too! Will definitely stay here again

I have never experienced unprofessionalism as poor as this motel. I am a local, I checked in for 1 week looking for some peace and quiet away from home on Sunday 3/24. Monday 25th my husband ends up in the emergency room and I had to cancel my stay. Due to this motel's staffed office hours (including closed between 11 and 3), I had to wait till after 3 to cancel the rest of my week stay, so the front desk staff said I would still need to pay for Monday night, but the rest of the time could be canceled and refunded, specifically 5 nights, Tuesday 3/26 - Sunday 3/31. On Tuesday I called to check on the refund and was told by operational manager Joe that I would not be refunded any portion of my stay and there was nothing he could do. With the week reservation I received a discounted rate, so I stated it would be fair to refund the full amount of the stay and charge me the full nightly rate for the 2 nights I had the room reserved. This also was not allowed as an option. I asked to speak with someone else and waited for a call back. Joe attempted to avoid contact with me, excusing himself as busy when asked why he hadn't returned my calls over a couple days time. Instead he had his employee call me back on Thursday to tell me I couldn't be refunded but I could receive a credit for a future stay. I asked why there wasnt someone else I could speak to, and was told the corporation that owns the motel takes 7 months or more to get in contact with. I would not stay here again or support this business operation further, and would advise anyone who may potentially have their trip plans change mid-stay (emergencies can happen to anyone), to be careful of this motel's unique cancelation policy and consider another option. ***Edit to include a response to the "owners" reply*** The cancelation policy was not communicated to me at my time of check in. I had a conversation with the front desk staff regarding my uncertainty over how many night I wanted to stay, asked the price of a nightly rate and a weekly, and shared I wasn't certain I would be able to stay a full week. I did opt for the weekly option after hearing the rates; however your staff never communicated any information to me about your unique cancelation policy, thus led me to believe there was flexibility. Additionally, the following morning I had a conversation with a different front desk staff about 2 topics, one of which was about my interest in alternate room option that may be cheaper, or an opening in the hostel. Your staff reviewed my reservation and shared I had the cheapest available rate for a private room due to my weekly rate, and then looked at the hostel bookings and shared that space was fully booked until after my scheduled departure date. As this conversation progressed, we discussed the reservation I made and my communicated interest in changing my reservation if possible, depending on availability, yet your staff never communicated, again, any information on your unique cancelation policy, which would certainly have made any part of my request not actually possible, even if an alternate cheaper room or bed was available. Lastly, at time of my urgent check out, your front desk staff once again did not communicate any information on your cancelation policy, and actually in direct conflict, your staff told me I would receive a refund for the portion of my stay that I could not complete; specifically and appropriately (due to my late check out at 4pm on 3/25) the Tuesday night 3/26 - Sunday morning 3/31 portion. Your response fails to correct the real professional errors made; it was a failure of your business to not communicate clearly to your customer the details of your unique cancelation policy. I do not have to accept a substandard and less than ideal compromise, and should not when I was not given the opportunity to fully/appropriately understand my reservation contract at the start.
