I am extremely dissatisfied and will never go back to this place. My vehicle, C300 convertible 2019, (less that 40000 miles), required attention due to yellow engine light. On April 8, 2024, the advisor said that the issue with my car was enough to warrant a complete engine disassembly to identify the problem. I was quoted an approximate labor cost of $6270 (30 hrs), with the caveat that additional costs could be incurred, should a need arise to replace the engine entirely. Given the magnitude of the estimate, I realized that car is facing a significant mechanical failure and sold the car to MB. I was upset that my MB did not last even 5 years and I mentioned at the service center too that I didnt expect engine to fail in less than 5 years. I was looking forward to keeping this car and had spent $4000.7 just a month back. In that service, all the tires were replaced and other things as per the advice of advisor. On April 9, 2024, at 3:20 pm, I received a notification accompanied by a video link from the dealership, suggesting that the engine required adjustments rather than the expensive and costly overhaul I was initially led to believe was necessary. On April 10, 2024, at 9:25 am, I received another notification asking about the service feedback. This discrepancy between the initial diagnostic and the actual service performed is alarming. It clearly shows the service lasted only few hours which they anyway charged me on April 8, 2024 $346.11. It suggests a misleading attempt to undertake unnecessary and expensive work. This experience has caused me stress and shaken my trust.
