HSS is well organized, responsive, and professional. So easy to work with them. Appointments are made easily the way you want them to by phone or by their web-based application or by email. Same for renewing prescriptions.
Alexandra Roux and Amanda Ebentoff respond to both emails and phone calls promptly and are super helpful and professional. Always.
Pre-surgery medical exam is done by a team present in the room with you so everything is done at once. They are excellent listeners very professional. It's a pleasure to work with a nurse and MD and a coordinator at the same time. Every level of service I find at HSS is efficient.
And every surgeon I have worked with has been an excellent listener and a partner in my health care decisions. Most recently my knee replacement experience was outstanding. Largely because of the skill of the surgeon, Dr McLawhorn, and the efficiency of the business process. If you have a joint that needs attending to, HSS is the only place that I would consider

I had a left anterior hip replacement in July at Stamford Hospital. From the initial consultation I was impressed by his knowledge, his warmth, patience, and ability to explain clearly what is needed and what to expect. I never felt rushed. The staff at the hospital was also exceptional from the aides and nurses to the Physical therapists. My surgery was successful, and I now stand upright and pain free in the hip. He is an exceptional physician.

my anterior hip surgery went without a hitch. i followed Dr Mclawhorns post op instructions and healed quickly and with very little discomfort. im 12 weeks out now and back to leading an active, pain -free lifestyle. could not be happier with the result. thank you to a great team at HSS Stamford.
