My husband and I are Marriott ambassadors and have stayed at St Regiss around the world, with that, we can truly say that this is the absolute worst St. Regis that we have stayed at. Starting with the rooms, the rooms are quite small and look more like a regular inn than the classic St. Regis look. Furthermore, unlike other St. Regiss where almost all rooms have bathtubs, here on the suites do. Secondly and perhaps even more of a disappointment is the service. The front desk is extremely late to respond to anything and doesnt pick up their phone at times and often times the butler has to be paged over 3 times to even get a reply. From noon- evening, they pack non hotel guests into the lobby for their afternoon tea, which would be fine but it leaves guests (many of who were waiting to have their rooms ready despite it being past check in time) to have the stand around with no place to sit. For the cleaning, when we stayed here, there was GLASS pieces left on the floor which led to a cut in the foot and blood coming out of it. However, even when we called the front desk and butler to receive some bandages, we couldnt get through to either of them and as it was the middle of the night, had to bundle up the foot in a towel and wait. Despite this, there was little apology just a mumbled we were busy and thats it. End of story, there are plenty of other better hotels in DC and its not worth going here at all. Save your money and stay at the Waldorf, Ritz, or Four Seasons or the Line (which we have heard amazing things about)
