Hyatt Place Atlanta/Downtown

The location is perfect and you can walk certain places downtown. The service was good, the people were friendly and the rooms were spacious. The bathroom is kinda small but it's not bad.

If I could give this hotel -10 stars I would. Firstly the hotel gave us a 1 bed room when we book 2 queen size beds, when we showed them the confirmation of what we booked, they basically told us its nothing they can do since they are booked up for all 2 bed rooms. Secondly the staff were not friendly at all, they were actually extremely rude. When we got in the shoe box size room, we were surprised of how small the bathroom was. The bathroom was the size of a matchbox. Our entire family is small/ slim and we even had to walk in the bathroom sideways. The showers had no proper drainage so all the water went over the entire floor. Also the bathroom door did not open all the way. We also forgot some paper plates when we ordered food, we asked could we use the plates they had and at first the front desk agent said yes and then we went to grab a plate, she asked how many of us and then told us no we cannot use it. If you say we can use a plate why, would you take it back just because of how many we had. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to an enemy, the worse hotel experience I have ever had. ( also the pictures are not accurate at all, the hotel look nothing like the pictures they have on the website)

My friend and I were traveling to Atlanta and I made reservation for a 1 night stay on my Hyatt app and provided my friends name to be added to the reservation under the Special Requests section in case he arrived before me. As a Hyatt loyalist I then followed up with a call to the Globalist line to make sure my friend was on the reservation as an accompanying guest. A few minutes later, Hyatt emailed me confirmation of the change. I sent the email along to my friend to make sure he wouldnt have any problems getting a key in case he arrived in Atlanta before me. Of course my flight to Atlanta was canceled and my friend arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm and was exhausted after traveling all day. The front desk attendant Angelina told him she did not see his name on the reservation. My friend showed her the email. She said it didnt matter as it wasnt showing up on her system. My friend called me. I call the property and she said the same thing to me and suggested I call the Globalist line. I call the Globalist line and am on hold for 30 minutes. When I get someone on the phone they confirm my friend is on the reservation and they offer to call the property to confirm. At that moment my friend texted me and said Angelina gave him a key and he is headed to bed. I call Angelina to find out what happened. She was terse and not friendly and just said That is Hyatt. Im telling you what I see in my system. That is not us. I don't know why you're being argumentative. I said that didnt make me feel confident in making reservations with Hyatt if the property doesnt see them or my confirmed requests. I then asked if a manager could call me back in the morning. She quickly replied We dont do that. You can try to call back in the morning. Ive stayed in Hyatts all over the world for over a decade. Stay anywhere else but here.
