I chose this lender because of the glowing reviews I read while researching mortgage lenders. Unfortunately, I did not receive the same level of service. I was a first-time homebuyer and used a down payment assistance program. I turned in the laundry list of documents and paperwork requested of me in a timely manner, yet my file was held and not turned in to the Georgia Dream program for 2 weeks. This delayed my closing and tripled my amount to bring to closing. While my agent pressed the loan officer, Renee Chenevert, for answers, we were not given an explanation or an apology for the costly delay. I do not recommend this lender to any homebuyer receiving down payment assistance, but advise you to find another company that will provide you the same professionalism, service, and respect that they give all their clients regardless of loan type.
EDIT: In response to Mr. Bland, I certainly qualified, was approved for, closed on, and am currently living in my home. Mrs. Chenevert's incompetence was unable to stop that. The way my loan was handled was unprofessional and borderline discriminatory. As I said in my initial review, every client should be treated with the same level of professionalism and respect regardless of loan type. I hope your loan officers have improved their business practices.
