Avis Car Rental

Avis at Lihue airport was the worst Avis location I have ever been. Saw 3 Hertz shuttles before one Avis, overloaded with bags blocking walkway, overwhelmed and understaffed counter with no xars ready, slow delivery, no inspection for or declaration of car damage (and there was a lot). Took 2 hours total to rent for a Preferred customer.

Insane wait times and unfriendly staff. Took 30 minutes in line plus an additional 80 minutes for them to bring our car up. They dont prepare the car until the next person checks in for pickup. Wipers on the car were trash. Absolutely avoid.

I chose Avis because I was able to get a larger & better quality vehicle at a better price than other companys. I dont think it was worth the savings now because I waited for 2 hours to check in at the counter and receive my car. The customer service was very slow!

I rented a car online and paid with a credit card, I picked up my car ontime, but they charged me a $50 no-show fee anyway. Then they charged me the entire amount of the rental, even though I dropped it off a day early. I have spent hours trying to get them to rectify the situation, and even though they acknowledge that I did pick up the car when I was supposed to and dropped it off early, they have not refunded me any of the extra money that they charged my card.
