The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel Chicago Loop

Fantastic stay. Staff was amazing from arrival to check out. They do offer to hold your luggage even if you are checked out, so you can finish up your stay. Walkability: Two blocks to any L train entrance. Starbucks, Dunkin, Circle K , and 7 eleven all right close by. Good food is everywhere and close by.

The lobby is very nice and the location is decent and thats where the good review ends. Upon walking in the room the mattress is very uncomfortable, the tv isnt even a smart tv, and the toilet handle was broken. The worst part is upon checking out they charge a DESTINATION FEE for $60 and say that it covers the water bottles and WiFi never heard of having to pay a fee for that and we didnt even drink the waters. They also dont have a microwave or mini fridge in the room . When you complain about the fee they say they give a $15 coupon when checking in to offset the fee. But you have to spend money to use it unless you get some snacks from the front. They ended up waiving half of it because I complained. I appreciate getting some off but at the same time this isnt a resort and Im already paying a lot of money to stay here so to slap two fees on top for something that every other hotel has for free is absolutely ridiculous.

Hotel with quality and warmth of attention. Comfortable rooms, with the basic elements to rest. The location is excellent, you can walk to places of tourist interest. Nearby activities: Millenium Park, the bean, Willis Tower, shops and cafes.
