    This company was horrible to work with. They quoted our cross country move at $25K (already steep!) and then we got a surprise bill at the end for $38K - - a 50% markup!! - - even though we listed out all of our inventory and did a virtual walk through to agree upon the volume of stuff + number of stairs in advance. They also broke two pieces of furniture and refused to pay for them due to some fine print in the contract. I was given the run around, going back and forth with them for months and finally gave up.

    I chose Doorage as an all in one moving and storage solution as I was going to be traveling outside the country for 6 months and needed a place to store my furniture and housewares. I was very excited to find them for the convenience factor as well as the face that they offer plastic eco boxes to use for packing. After I moved back to the US, I was ready to move into a new apartment. I was informed that they now charge $80/man/hour to move your things out of storage and then another $75 fee to pick up the eco boxes. I was shocked at these charges as I was told everything would be included with my monthly storage charge and there wouldn't be anything additional to pay for the move. Since you don't sign a contract with them, all they can point to is their website terms and conditions. It says that they are able to change their fees at any time without notice. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Please don't use them unless you want to be showered with extra fees at the last minute. Also, as a side note, they damaged my headboard and bedroom dresser during the move. I am now in the process of filing a claim with them which is another hassle.

    Merchandise was stored in July 2021 moved to us in January 20222. Paid for insurance , missing boxes , filled claims , damaged merchandise, missing luggage . Filed claim , they located one thing and took a 3 months to get it . Still several boxes missing . We have been more than patient , no follow ups no checks , when they were getting paid from us the were in touch. This has turned out to be a nightmare for my family. This is the first of my pursuit for satisfaction. Next one is social media , then BBB , and then attorney.
